Emma Daffurn, PADI Corporate Social Responsibility Specialist:

"Quick, easy, and impressively creative. In a short amount of time, Harry produced a variety of different possible music options for my video project, then worked with me closely to perfect my top pick. I was really happy with the outcome and would work with him again in a heartbeat."

LEARNING MUSIC WITH HARRY HETHERINGTON

Enjoyment Is The Key To Doing Anything

I am a friendly young musician who loves to pass on my musical knowledge to beginners of all ages. If you have ever thought about picking up an instrument but never found the time or effort then maybe now is the time to find an approachable, down to earth tutor who can help you take the first steps.

While practice is important, maintaining a sense of fun and enjoyment throughout the process of learning is the key to a great musician. Only when you enjoy to play will you become the best musician you can. I have been playing music since a very young age. Coming from a musical family I grew up surrounded by instruments and playing in a fun casual environment became like second nature to me. I started playing the drums at 8 and completed all rock school drum grades with distinction by age 13. I then went on to learn several other instruments including piano, guitar and bass.

More than any one genre I love to play new things I've never tried before and attempt to master them as quickly as possible. This has allowed me to expand my music knowledge beyond the conventional teaching syllabus. I am comfortably proficient in many styles of music ranging from rock drumming to classical piano playing. I have played many gigs in and around Bristol and I'm currently drumming in the cover band 'The Soul Destroyers'.

Playing in a number of live venues teaches you that everyone has their own style and no one is ever bad at playing they just haven't found their style yet. The best feeling to have when playing music is confidence. I believe everyone can achieve this with nothing but enthusiasm and a little bit of practice.
